This cartoon series created by FriendlyScreens (PantallasAmigas) for the Basque Agency for Personal Data Protection promotes a culture of privacy among children. Reda & Neto characters tell our kids about the need of caring about personal data and privacy, in a short series of animated videos with the common motto “Taking care of our personal data”.
Here’s the first one: “Trapped in the Magic Potion”. The message out from this first story is double but very simple:
- You have many personal data.
- Your image is one of them and it’s very important.
Kids’ application of this fundamental knowledge is key to prevent cyber-bullying or privacy issues when using social networking sites. To be responsible cyber-citizens they must learn to value and protect their own personal data in the first place.
